Tina Wright Memorial Art Scholarship
Most of you knew my mother, Tina Wright. She is one of the co-founders of this AWESOME retreat. We would like to carry on her memory by giving a scholarship to a graduate from our home town and where my mother had even graduated in 1984. This year we awarded a $1000 scholarship to a well deserving graduate of Breckenridge High School. We would love to be able to be able to give out this scholarship for years to come, but for us to afford to be able to carry this on we need all the help we can get in raising money. We are asking everyone and anyone that would like to donate a piece of their art work for us to auction or raffle off would be awesome. We are planning that anytime there is a large event that we can attend we will set up a table with pamphlets and other information about colon cancer. We would like to inform and make people more aware of colon cancer. We will sell raffle tickets to help raise proceeds to towards Colon Cancer Research and for the Tina Wright Memorial Art Scholarship Fund. We will split the proceeds in half evenly distributing them between the both.If you would like to donate to this cause and help out with keeping the memory of a fellow Paper Cowgirl alive, please feel free to contact me at NicoleWright01_9@hotmail.com or comment on the blog.
This year I am planning on attending the first part of Paper Cowgirl. I will only be able to stay until Friday around lunch. I will be setting up a table for vendor night with memories of my mother to display and a video that my brother produced for her service. I cannot wait to meet all you wonderful Cowgirls!!
I Love You All!!!
