These are just a few of the projects seen around Paper Cowgirl, over the weekend.
These hands appear to be working on Dale's Mermaid Marie box. They look quite lovely in that robin's egg blue shade. Don't you agree?
These hands are working on Jenn Babcock's cute little altered birdie box.
Ann, Jan, Sarah, and looks like Lisa, all toil away at their Mermaid Marie boxes.
Busy hands, lots of busy hands
And these hands are sneaking a chocolate chip off our fabulous cupcakes. And how do I know? Cause these hands are mine! ~Cindy~
Watch the woman's hands as she cultivates the land,
As she plants the seed, as she's on her knees.
Watch her fingers smile as she holds the little child,
As she holds him
Watch the woman's hands as she holds her children back,
From the danger.
Watch how they fight to keep the family tight
Congratulations to "our own" Lisa of Tarnished and Tattered, with her beautiful article and altered bottles in this months, Somerset Studio.
The issue cover is gorgeous, as is Lisa's article. They did a beautiful job with her bottles. Of course, whats hard to work with photography wise, her art is wonderful. I've loved these from the first time I saw them.
I found this issue at Hastings yesterday. Was so very proud to see our Cowgirl teacher right in the front of the magazine.
Congrats Lisa! We are very proud of you and for you.
One of the many reasons that Tee and I started Paper Cowgirl, was to show case all the fantastic Texas talent that is in our great state! But there are tons of talent outside our state lines, and well, sometimes we just have to brag on that too! Such is the case with Corinne Clark.
Corinne had originally submitted to teach at Paper Cowgirl, but there where issues, what with her being in Canada and us being, well here. So in the end, Corrine, who wanted to be a part of PC, graciously agreed to let her class be a "Make and Take". We are so very honored to have her on board. And don't you love this? I'm sure any Cowgirl would be glad to have these pretty heels at the foot of her bed roll.
So, while supplies last, we will be offering Corrine's Paper Shoe Project as a Make and Take at PC. Even though Cowgirls wear boots, I'm sure from time to time they had to dress for a dance, and these would be perfect to get our Cinderella Cowgirl...there and back again.
Thanks Corrine, for being such a great supporter of Paper Cowgirl, we are proud to have you on our team!
To see more of Corrine's great art, check our her fabulous Etsy Shop, Sugar Paper Shop. And her blog, 100 Pretty Things is equally gorgeous!
Thanks again Corinne for helping to make this year's PC extra special.
OK Cowgirls. I want to wet your whistles just a little bit and tempt you with a few goodies.
Goodies? We've got em. And you will get em. Next week. Yep, hard to believe that this time next week, we will be Meetin and Greettin at The Dove's Nest. . But let me show you just a few things you have to look forward to.
These fabulous bags of goodies are from Smitten. Owner, Karen, says that each bag contains tags, German Glass Glitter, 12 yards of Vintage Seam binding to match the glitter, five labels made from a 1916 columnar pads, and more. I've got several of these to give away to some lucky Cowgirls!
We appreciate the support of local peeps. As well as not so local.
Beacon Adhesives was very generous to send enough of these bottles of their great Zip Dry glue for everyone to have in their goodie bags. We appreciate that very much, and we know you will too.
And our teachers as well have been very generous. Chantal sent over these great "doodads" that will also be in your gift bags.
And we have our lovely things from Where Women Create as well as many other supporters as well. Just take a peep at the side bar. But these are just a few of the things through out our weekend that you will receive. After all, I just wanted to wet your whistle abit. Did I? I hope so.
So, let's begin our countdown girls....7 days to go till Cowgirl time!

The clock is ticking gals, but I decided to push the registration deadline out just a few more days (much to the unhappiness of C0WBOY, who feels that once it is said, it should be done). But since I rarely ever listen to him anyway, why start now?
