I think I'm finally R E C O V E R E D.

Well, hello.  Long time no see eh?  Well, I took a wee breather right after PC, which was so good, I took another.  Then our computer crashed and I was without puter for almost a week.  And when it was returned, all my pics were gone.
But unless you've been living under a rock, chances are, you've seen a pic of PC somewhere over the last few weeks. But I'll show a few that I stole. borrowed.

Above is AD.  Or as she came to be known during PC, "Ann-"Martha Stewtart Fears Her" Denise".  Yes, is there nothing that gurl can't do?  This paper dress has over 400 coffee filters in it.  Some coffee dyed, some plain.  AD simply rocks.

You gotta love a Cowgirl with a past.  Especially when its pinned to her Prom Skirt.  Yes, Kristi took vintage to new heights when she pinned the contents of Gramdma's trunk to her petticoat for Prom.  Gotta love it.
And speaking of girls with a past...er ahem...future. We found these two wandering the streets of 'Hachie. Tammy and Nicki, oh so cute for Prom. Yes, officer they are here for Prom.

And speaking of Trashy...the Trashy Cat Parking Lot Sale was a HUGE success. Deb, Cat Daddy and Lisa Mac pulled off a spectacular sale of great vintage goods that could be had for just a few bux. Despite the heat, many of us showed up just to see the goods that trailer held.  Jana is enthralled with this vintage umbrella.
Lisa Mac shows Kristi just how far her money can go.
Sponsors! Thank you, thank you, thank you! A huge shout out to Mary of Green Paper for her generous donation of one of her Glue Book Classes. Dorthe's beautiful doll went to first time Cowgirl Julie Bartow. Karen Valentine generously donated several of her CD's as well as a mini Blog makeover. Dawn of Feathered Nest donated the lovely piece above and this was raffled off to raise money for Tee's Art Scholarship Fund. We raised almost $300.00 for Tee's fund, which some lucky art student in Breckenridge will receive. We are honored to carry on Tee's memory in this way. Thank you ladies, we truly could not have done it without you. The gals enjoyed the goodies so much.

All of our classes were so much fun. I was constantly amazed and delighted at the beauty that each teacher puts into the prep of her class room.
As well as the preparation of class kits. Truly amazing.

Here Sandra uses pretty shades of pink as she prepared for her class on painting roses.
This my friends, is truly, just the tip of the iceberg. There are some great photo's from our Meet and Greet, Prom, our Vendor Show, more classes and just random junk. For now, you can go here to see even more. Lisa has a great post too.  As does Karla and Beth, and AD.  And too me, it was the creme del la creme to have bloggers Karla, Beth, and Deb all involved in Paper Cowgirl this year.  It was truly special.  Thank y'all so much for being a part of it all.

Meanwhile, there is more coming down the pipes.  I'm in the midst of working on Wicked Tea (for October 15th), as well as possibly events for September and January (of 2012).  You tell me you want more, more, MORE, so I will see what I can do.  I'm also working on a 'Zine and the Paper Cowgirl On-line Shop.  But for right now, I'm going to mosey over to the couch and have a wee nap.

Here's hoping that this summer afternoon has you doing something you love to do....zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz.

Badges for this year.

Badges, we don't need no stinkin badges.  Yeah, that joke NEVER gets old.  LOL.  But seriously, I thought I would show you the idea and concept for our badges this year.  It was based on the idea of the badges that you get at Dallas Market.  Basically a pocket.  You store your biz cards there, put other biz cards there...that kind of thing.
But instead Ann Denise (our resident McGyver crafter.  That gurl can make anything!)  turned it into a wee book.  And it looks like the picture above.  The girls will each get a plain one (with their own name on it, not mine) to decorate as they see fit.

Since I favor reds and blacks, I choose to go with that color scheme. Here is the front of my badge after I decorated it.
I just doodled, added some dots, clipped on some "stuff".
See how it opens like a little book?  And we are playing a game where each Cowgirl adds a "charm" to another Cowgirls badge.  And it doesn't have to be a charm-charm.  It can be a vintage button, a piece of ribbon, a funky paper clip, a vintage ticket stub...whatever you wish to decorate with.
Here are some of my individual pages.
This is the back of the badge.  So you can see, it can pretty much be personalized how each person sees fit.  I can hardly wait to see what the girls do with em.  Its going to be fun I think.

Well, the count down is on and we are a mere five days away.  Hard to believe.
