Vintage Inspired Journal Class

Karen's Vintage Inspired Journal Class
For me, I find that one of the most enjoyable things about putting together Paper Cowgirl events, is meeting such wonderful people.  The students, the teachers, the vendors, all are amazing, fun and talented. And working with new teachers is always a joy.  With that being said, I would love to highlight one of our new teachers this year, Karen Valentine.

Karen's Journal (pictured above and below)  is a lacy, cream and white dream, embellished with a lovely vintage photo, buttons, trims, flowers and loads of lovely, lovely ribbons.  Cottage style perfect, its a romantic book, a perfect journal for capturing all your thoughts, hopes and dreams.
Karen embraces her cottage lifestyle and that style is reflected in her home decor, her projects and her gorgeous blogs.  I recently had the joy of getting to know Karen better, as we worked together to re-do the Paper Cowgirl blog.  Her easy laugh and great computer knowledge, coupled with an eye for pretty, makes her a super gal to work with.  Karen not only creates lovely things by hand, but by computer as well.  Her other blog, Valentine Design, offers great tips, techniques and goodies that you can purchase for beautifying your own blog.

Karen is uber talented, having been published in several different Somerset Publications, as well. Paper Cowgirl is delighted to welcome this Arizona, (but Texan in heart) gal to teach this March. Her beautiful composition-book-turned-vintage Journal is a class that you don't want to miss. Still seats available, so go sign up now, just hit the "Creative Classes" button to go to the registration.

And speaking of being "Delighted", Lisa Pace is coming to Waxahachie for a fun creative filled weekend. Her second book "Delight In The Seasons" is out and this year she debuted a beautiful vintage line of stamps, appropriately enough called the Antiquated Collection.

The Crafty Scrapper is highlighting both of her books as well as her new stamp collection by hosting a weekend of crafting, book signing and more. The weekend starts off Friday night, February 24th at 6-7pm for a book signing followed with a fun make-n-take using her new stamps. If you have her first book bring that along too for signing. The Crafty Scrapper will have both books for sale, as well as all of Lisa's new stamps in stock. Lisa will also be teaching two classes that weekend, Antiquated Collection Sampler and Altered Jello Molds, both on Saturday, February 25th. For more details hit the stores website or call them direct at 972.923.3151.

For a visual treat this weekend, go check out the new movie, Woman in Black.  A scary-make-you-jump-and spill-your-popcorn movie.  Daniel Radcliffe holds his own as the ghost seeing young man, who's just trying to get some work done.  And much like the movie Practical Magic, the house, decorated sets and beautiful locale kept me glued to the big screen as well!

Have a great weekend!
